Free clothing and school supplies will be items the community can receive during the annual Our Father’s House Back To School supply giveaway Saturday.

It will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Our Father’s House, 401 Argonne Road, Warsaw. The event is for school-aged children.

Last year, there were 600 children who received clothing and school supplies, according to Roz Morgan, Our Father’s House founding director.

Items that will be given away Saturday are three children’s outfits per child, socks, underwear, school supplies and backpacks.

“This year has been hard on people especially with some people only making minimum wage and not having the extra money to purchase school supplies and clothing for their children,” Morgan said.

Drew Krichbaum, Our Father’s House events coordinator, said donations are appreciated for the school supply and clothing event.

Donations for the event come from individuals, local businesses and Our Father’s House also purchases items.

“Some people don’t have a way to pay for clothing and school supplies so this helps them out,”  Krichbaum said.

Our Father’s House is seeking school supply donations including backpacks, crayons, colored pencils, erasers and notebooks.

The items can be dropped off at Our Father’s House today, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

People also can drop the items off in Our Father’s House drop off box in the front of the store.
