Open House Kicks Off 40th Season At Debra Collier's School Of Dance

Debra Collier's School of Dance is kicking off its 40th season with an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 4.
Families can enjoy free classes, performances by Class Act Dance Troupe and visit vendors from other local, family-friendly businesses, according to a press release from the school. Representatives from companies such as Chimp’s Comix, Tastefully Simple, Noonday Collection, On The Grow, AVON and Martin’s Supermarket will be available.
“We are excited to begin our 40th season,” said studio owner Deb Collier. “We have always been invested in our community and enjoy hosting events that bring together other local businesses that share the same commitment.”
Children ages 3 to 5 can enjoy dancing with the studio’s princess during free ballet classes and Intro to Dance classes will be available for ages 6 and up.
Kosciusko Literacy Services will be giving away free children’s books and Kona Ice will have their truck set up at the event.
Face painting and drawings for prizes from Indiana Antique Company, Keep Collective, American Table, MudLOVE, 31 Gifts, Collier’s Fireplace Shoppe, Zoyo, Baker Youth Club, the dance school and more will be available. Kosciusko County Sherriff’s Department also will be distributing child identification kits.
The press release states, “Debra Collier’s School of Dance provides the area’s most highly trained team of instructors teaching in a state-of-the-art facility. With a passion for developing students as people, not just dancers, along with a deep and long-term commitment to the Warsaw community, Debra Collier’s truly believes it’s about more than dance.  Whether a student enrolls simply for the pure joy of the dance experience or aspires to a career in dance, Collier’s strives to provide the opportunity for every student to reach his/her goals.”
Registration for the studio’s annual session is open for ages 1-1/2 to adult.
