AKRON - Opal N. Flenner, 88, of 1729 Wabash Ave. E211, Rochester, died at 5 a.m. Jan. 10, 2009, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

She was born Oct. 12, 1920, in Miami County, to Elmer and Margaret Day Hartzler. On Oct. 12, 1990, in Anderson, she married Estel Flenner, who survives.

She retired from Torx Products, Rochester, and in later years was a homemaker. She attended Gilead High School and was a member of First Church of God, Rochester.

Also surviving are a daughter, Linda (and spouse Eldon) Redinger, Winamac; three sons, Noel (and spouse Judy) Kamp and Neil (and spouse Pat) Kamp, all of Rochester, and Jeff (and spouse Cindi) Kamp, Indianapolis; a stepson, Jeffery Flenner, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and a step-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sisters, two grandsons and a great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Larry Dodge officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
