NORTH MANCHESTER - Opal J. Stine, 84, of North Manchester, died at 4 p.m. March 6, 2009, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

She was born Oct. 20, 1924, in Huntington, to Harry and Nora Thompson Williams. On Oct. 16, 1949, she married Wilbur B. Stine, who died Oct. 27, 1996.

She worked at Heckman Bindrey, North Manchester, for several years.

Surviving are three sons: Larry (and spouse Sally) Stine, Poway, Calif.; Marvin (and spouse Carol) Stine, North Manchester; and James (and spouse Nancy) Stine, Goshen; three grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

A graveside service was Sunday at Fairview Cemetery, Servia, with Chaplain Sue Babovec.

McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
