One Hospitalized, One Arrested in Stabbing

One man was arrested Monday night as the result of an investigation following a reported stabbing earlier in the day.
Todd D. Warren, 49, of 3699 N. CR 175E, Lot 135, Warsaw, was arrested for battery by means of a deadly weapon and on an outstanding warrant for disorderly conduct – fight.
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call of a possible stabbing at Lot 135 at Suburban Acres Mobile Home Park, Warsaw, Monday at 11:56 a.m.
After securing the scene, deputies located the victim, James Fredrick Kosher, 39. Kosher was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening cuts to his hand/wrist area and a secondary cut to his arm.
The individual who had committed the stabbing was located at his residence and identified as Todd Douglas Warren. Kosher is the nephew of Todd Warren’s ex-sister-in-law and had been staying in a tent on Warren’s property next to the mobile home.
Detectives stated that Warren and Kosher had gotten into an verbal argument earlier in the morning that ensued into physical altercation. Initial interviews provided by Warren state that he had been struck by Kosher and used a knife to defend himself.
The Kosciusko County prosecutor deemed that the circumstances did not warrant the use of a deadly weapon, which resulted in Warren’s charges.
Warren was booked into Kosciusko County Jail on a $350 bond.[[In-content Ad]]
