On the Roof for Riley

Jerry Nolin (pictured), who co-owns the Dairy Queen at 2304 E. Winona Ave. with his wife Jane, took to the roof of the restaurant Tuesday afternoon.

Nolin planned to stay there until he collected $5,000 for the Kosciusko County Riley Kids Fund through the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. Yesterday afternoon, he said he expected to be on the roof through today, but everything was going good.

Every year, Dairy Queen restaurants across the United States and Canada raise money for Children’s Miracle Network on Miracle Treat Day, which is Thursday. All proceeds from the sale of Blizzards Thursday will be donated to Riley Hospital for Children through the Network. T
