Old Jail Quilt Exhibit

The exhibit includes a 1897 double Irish chain quilt made by the Clunette Missionary Society, 1850 Long Cabin design, 1850 Courthouse Steps design and late 1850s pinwheel design quilts, a lap coverlet made from men’s silk ties, 1895 Stony Point Church quilt which contains the names of the quilters, 1897 Friendship Quilt or Johnny-Around-the-Corner quilt made by mothers of children of the Kinzie School, Sidney, for Emma Mortas a wedding gift, 1800s Turkey Tracks, Goose Tracks and Crazy Quilts, and a 1900 Green Feather Star with Red Rosettes quilt that is featured in the book “Quilts of Indiana.”
The museum is at 121 N. Indiana St., Warsaw, and is open Wednesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is by donation.
