SYRACUSE -ÊTwo officers were injured during a chase while making a drug arrest near Syracuse Monday afternoon.
Timothy Sparks, 47, of 12346 N. Kings Drive, Syracuse, was arrested for dealing cocaine/narcotics, intimidation with a deadly weapon and resisting/fleeing law enforcement and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail around 5:35 p.m. Monday. His bond was set at $20,000.
Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers went to Sparks' residence to serve a warrant for dealing methamphetamine from Noble County. When officers entered the house, Sparks reportedly pulled out and pointed a shotgun at them.

When officers searched Sparks' residence, they reportedly found about three-fourths of a pound of methamphetamine along with other drug-related paraphernalia and several weapons.
Along with the charges from Noble County, Sparks now faces several felony charges in Kosciusko County.
Sparks' wife, Desiree Jacobs, 20, was arrested for assisting a criminal and possession of a narcotic drug/cocaine. She is being held on $5,000 bond.
Sparks' 15-year-old son also was arrested for disorderly conduct during the incident. He is being detained at the South Bend Juvenile Justice Center.
