O. Jeanette Ragan, 84, of Warsaw, died at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 16, 2013, in her residence.
She was born Oct. 18, 1928, in Warsaw, to Virgil C. and Opal O. Phillips Smith. On Jan. 9, 1948, in Warsaw, she married Pat H. Ragan, who died Nov. 11, 2001.
She was a lifetime Warsaw resident and a 1947 graduate of Warsaw High School. She retired from Kimble Glass Inc., where she had worked for many years, then went to work for AMPI for 10 years.
She was an active member of Delta Theta Tau. She  was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her greatest moments were those she spent with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who loved and knew her. She was an avid sports fan – especially basketball – San Antonio Spurs and Notre Dame football. She was a Peyton Manning fan.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathy C. Ragan, Silver Lake; a son, S. Douglas (and spouse Grazia “Grace”) Ragan, Schererville; three grandchildren: Stephen D. Ragan II, Schererville; Chelsey R. Ragan, North Webster; and Patrick C. Ragan, Warsaw; two step- granddaughters, Michelle D. (and spouse Andre) Helton, Schererville, and Sandra L. Kulchawick, Highland; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Gavin and Kyle; and a brother, Virgil C. “Sonny” (and spouse Marlene) Smith, Kernersville, N.C. She also was preceded in death by a son, Kelley J. Ragan, who died May 13, 2006; her parents; her stepfather, Raymond “Fuzz” Neff; and two sisters, LaVon Ohmart and Frances Lloyd.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Larry McCall of Christ’s Covenant Church, Winona Lake. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
