NWCC Offering Improv, Screenwriting Classes This Winter; Sign Up By Nov. 9

Two comedy improv classes and a screenwriting class will be offered starting in November.
Five weeks of comedy improv for beginners will be offered Mondays from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 19 to Dec. 17. Cost is $50.
Students will learn the basics of improv such as trust, listening, thinking on your feet and games like audiences see on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”
Final performances for friends and family will be Dec. 17. Instructor is Jessica Hardy.
For students who have taken at least two previous improv courses, an advanced comedy improv course will be offered Tuesdays, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., from Nov. 21 to Jan. 22. No classes are scheduled for Dec. 25 or Jan. 1, and new students will not be permitted to register. Cost is $80.
The class will focus on relationship and scene work on an advanced level. Class also will focus on talking improvised work and creating sketches.
Final showcase will be Jan. 29 for the public. Hardy also is the instructor for this class.
The screenwriting class is for five weeks and is $50. Classes will be Wednesdays, Nov. 22 through Dec. 19, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
Conceptualize your idea, develop characters, learn about the business, plot point your time line and develop treatments. Instructor is Brent Kado.
Take two classes and receive $20 off. Take all three classes for $149.
All classes must be prepaid by Nov. 9. Payment plans and scholarships are available. All students must register via the North Webster Community Center office in person or by phone. Call 574-834-1600.
