NW American Legion to Ride for Elwood

Elwood was a founding member of the Riders chapter of American Legion Post 253, North Webster. Elwood lost his seven-year battle with cancer July 1.
He was an American Legion member for 17 years, chaplain, and past commander and color guard member of the Sons of American Legion.
The cost is $15 per bike and $5 per rider. Proceeds will go to Riley Hospital for Children in Elwood’s name, since fundraising for cancer research for children was an interest of his.
Registration starts at 10 a.m. and there will be a free gift for the first 50 registrants.
The four-hour tour departs at 11 a.m. from the North Webster post, 756 S. Ind. 13, and will stop at posts in Albion, Waynedale and Huntington before returning to North Webster.
Food and entertainment will be provided by Post 253 at the end of the ride.
