NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received: By: Ivy Tech Community College, Warsaw Campus For: Interior Remodel (including demolition, wall framing and finish, doors, windows, floors, ceiling, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC). At: Ivy Tech Community College, South Bend Campus, until 11 a.m. (EST) on September 3, 2009 at the Business Office. Bids received after that time will be returned unopened. Bids are to be submitted in triplicate on Bid Form provided in a sealed envelope clearly marked INTERIOR REMODEL, WARSAW CAMPUS Bid Opening. The sealed Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 1:30 p.m. in the 3rd floor conference room. All work for the complete construction of the project will be under one prime contract with the Owner and may be examined by prospective bidders at the following location on or after August 21, 2009. 1. Office of Scearce Rudisel Architects, Inc., 120 South Buffalo Street, Warsaw, IN 46580 (574-269-1596). Prime contract bidders may obtain electronic copies (PDF format) of bidding documents from Scearce Rudisel Architect, Inc. for a non-refundable fee of $25 for each complete set. Fees shall be paid through the website of Scearce Rudisel Architects, Inc. (www.srarchitects.com). A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the site at 1:00 p.m. (EST) on August 26, 2009. Other visits to the site will not be permitted. The project shall be bid using no public wage scale. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be a certified check or bid bond. All bid bonds shall be made payable to Ivy Tech Community College. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding, and is not obligated to accept the lowest bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of (60) sixty days after the date set for the receipt thereof. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Contract Performance and Maintenance Bonds for 100% of his contract amount prior to execution of contracts. Bonds shall be in full force and effect for a period of at least twelve (12) months after the date of final completion and acceptance of the longest guarantee provided under the contractor's contract. Should the contractor's bonding company default; the contractor will be responsible for securing a new bond within fourteen (14) calendar days. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit as required by the statutes of the State of Indiana. Ivy Tech Community College is a state owned organization and is therefore exempt from Indiana Sales Tax. The successful bidder shall be provided with their tax exempt number. a22 [[In-content Ad]]
