NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NAPPANEE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS The City of Nappanee Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Municipal Building, 300 W, Lincoln St, Nappanee, Indiana The purpose of the Hearing is to hear Variance request #03-10-BZA, filed by Richard Adams, 905 E. John Street, Nappanee, Indiana 46550. The request is for a variance from the required 15-foot side yard set back in an R-1 Low Density Residential district. This variance would allow the construction of a 14 foot 6 inch carport addition, which will have a 10 foot 6 inch side yard back as measured from the south corner of the carport to the west property line. The subject property is located at 905 E. John Street, Nappanee, IN 46550. LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY: Lot Numbered 5 and the West Half of Lot Numbered 4 as the said Lots are known and designated on the recorded Plat of LINCOLNSHIRE in Nappanee, Indiana; said Plat being recorded in Plat Book 5, page 106 in the Office of the Recorder of Elkhart County, Indiana. Subject to all easements, restrictions, covenants and right of ways of record. A copy of such proposal is on file in the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee, Indiana, City Municipal Building, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana.
