Not Enough Time

"I'm the president and the buck stops with me." Yeah, right! He takes full responsibility right behind Ronald Reagan, George Bush, BP and all the resident seagulls. This guy never takes responsibility for anything until his back is against the wall and he has no other choice.

For weeks, the Louisiana governor's pleadings for help have been falling on deaf ears. It took Obama eight days before he even acknowledged the incident. Then, weeks went by before his social calendar allowed him to actually go to the Gulf, so he could looked engaged.

I do realize that a president has to prioritize his time. He was so heavily scheduled with the Duke basketball team at the White House, and then the New York Yankees. Then you have to factor in a couple of golf games and private time to shoot baskets. And the scheduled two trips to California to attend fundraisers for Barbara Boxer. And don't forget the president of Mexico, who so impressed you with his trashing of America that you threw him an expensive gala evening, even flying in a chef from Chicago to assure you dined in style. And then there was the Cinco de Mayo party. Oh, what a schedule. So much to do, so little time.

Let's see. With a little luck, you should be able to get back to the Gulf so you still look engaged. Oh, don't forget, Mr. President, you're going to party in Chicago over the Memorial Day weekend, so you'll have to blow off the longstanding tradition of honoring our veterans at Arlington National Cemetery.

Oh darn! BP, just plug the damn hole and let's be done with this. It's interfering with your social calendar and, more importantly, you haven't finished screwing America.
