Not A Quack

As a TEA party activist, I strongly urge you to meet some of us and see where we are coming from. We are not a bunch of quacks funded by a political party. I am an educated middle-class American who loves this land. I was awakened when I finally saw the push for entitlements and the role big government is taking in crippling America.

Before 2006 I paid little attention to the political world. History here in America shows the progress of the devaluation of the core principle of free market growth, constitutional disregard, and a leftward shift within our country. Big government and huge tax hikes hurt America.

Our elected officials do not seem to want to listen to the will of the people. I believe it is a fundamental responsibility for everyone to strive to better themselves and help each other within their communities who may have come into difficult times. Not government entitlements which serve to enslave those who do not have a vision to grow personally and spiritually. Even the Bible states we will always have the poor among us, but we need to offer a hand up not a hand out paid for by tax dollars.

When we lose our vision of our personal growth, apathy develops. Through apathy our society has become (in some cases) one of generational dependence on government and not on personal responsibility.

My family is one of the American families living meagerly on less than $50,000 per year. No, I am not affiliated with a political party, but I do believe in conservative values and The Constitution of the United States of America as was written by our founders.

Marxism and Socialism is not the answer to America's ills. Like a cancer the big government and the political agendas of recent years are killing our freedom and liberty.

I say we must get back to the basics, listen to each other, help one another, and stop depending on hand outs but rather a hand up. Our states and churches have programs in place for the disadvantaged. The federal government should not be allowed to become everyone's master.
