Wendi E. Norton and Joe R. Sparks were married at 2 p.m. July 2, 2011, in Spohn Ballroom, Goshen, by the Rev. Kerri Hoffman.

The bride’s parents are Steven and Tamra Norton, Mentone. The groom’s parents are Lonnie and Peggy Sparks, Kalamazoo, Mich.

Matron of honor was Lucinda Neff, Fort Wayne.

Bridesmaids were Carmen Durnell, Goshen; Meghan Wiseman, Claypool; and Sydney Livengood,  Mentone.

Flower girl was Hailey Johnson, Kalamazoo, Mich.

Best man was Tim Johnson, Kalamazoo.

Groomsmen were Lonnie Sparks, Kalamazoo, and Brent Norton, Mentone. 

Ring bearer was Benjamin Sparks, Kalamazoo.

The reception was at the Spohn Ballroom.

The bride is an art teacher at Fairfield Junior-Senior High School, Goshen. She graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron, in 2000 and earned a bachelor’s degree in art education and a master’s degree in studio art in 2011 from  the University of Saint Francis, Fort Wayne.

The groom is a graphic/web designer and 3D game artist. He graduated from Plainwell (Mich.) High School in 2001 and earned a bachelor’s degree in computer animation from Savannah (Ga.) College of Art and Design in 2005.

The wedding trip was to New York earlier this summer.
