Northern Indiana Lakes Festival June 27 In Warsaw

Many events are planned for the Northern Indiana Lakes Festival in Warsaw.

The free festival is June 27 at Center Lake in Warsaw.

Activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. include a boat show, water splash and play area, art contest, food and family fun, free drinking water testing, exhibits and hands-on activities and door prizes.[[In-content Ad]]The festival kicks off with a pancake and egg breakfast from 6:30 to 11 a.m. at Center Lake Pavilion.

Pre-sale tickets for adults are $5, tickets at the door are $6, and tickets for children 6 years old and younger are $3. Proceeds from the breakfast go to Center Lake Conservation Association Inc. enhancements.

A pancake breakfast also will be from 7 to 9 a.m. at Ridinger Lake.

A fishing demonstration and hands-on learning will be at the Center Lake pier from 9 to 10 a.m.

An eco tour via canoe will be on Center Lake from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Lakes festival booths open from 10 to 10:30 a.m., and other events include a police dive team demonstration and a Biblical Gardens Water in the Bible Tour.

Activities from 10:30 to 11 a.m. include canoeing, a Department of Natural Resources fish shocking boat demonstration at the boat ramp, and Lakes Story Time at Center Lake Pavilion.

From 11 to 11:45 a.m., Billy B. will do an interactive environmental song and dance performer at Glover Pavilion stage.

From noon to 12:30 p.m., there will be a police dive team demonstration and a Biblical Gardens Water in the Bible tour.

From 12:30 to 1 p.m., there will be water monitoring hands-on activities at the pier.

From 1 to 2 p.m., there will be a Lake City Skiers Ski Show at Center Lake, and from 2 to 6:30 p.m. there will be swimming at Center Lake.

From 2 to 2:30 p.m., there will be a fly-tying demonstration at Center Lake Pavilion, and from 2:30 to 3 p.m. there will be a water safety program.

From 3 to 3:45 p.m., Billy B. will perform on Glover Pavilion Stage.

At 4 p.m. there will be end-of-the-festival activities at Center Lake, and from 5 to 8 p.m. there will be a Lake Tippecanoe Fish Fry at Camp Crosley.
