NORTH WEBSTER – A North Webster man was arrested Monday night on intimidation charges stemming from a bar fight in mid February.

Allen Curtis Harper, 25, of 342 N. Main St., North Webster, was charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, a Class C felony, based upon video footage from an altercation at Stimmelators Feb. 17.

Based upon witness statements, Harper was involved in a bar fight at Stimmelators and was removed for fighting at the establishment. Bar bouncers Matthew Adams and Rhett Cook escorted Harper from the bar.

Adams said Harper was attempting to start a fight with Cook after he was removed from the establishment. At that point Adams said he stepped in to stop the altercation. Harper left shortly afterward.

While Harper was walking down the alley he yelled profanities at Cook and Adams. When Harper got to the end of the building he turned around and started to run at Adams with his arm raised and a knife in hand. Adams backed up.

When Harper came within 10 feet of Adams, customers approached the building and Harper ran away, according to the probable cause affidavit.

North Webster police officers spoke with Harper and he admitted to being at Stimmelators on that night. When Harper was asked to remove the contents of his pockets, he emptied everything out and pulled a knife halfway out, but then put it back.

Harper is currently in the Kosciusko County Jail on $5,000 bond.
