She was born April 3, 1927, in Syracuse, to Harvey S. and Ruth Lung Cole.
She graduated from Peekskill (N.Y.) High School. She moved back to Noble County from New York in the 1940s. She graduated with honors from Indiana/Purdue University, Fort Wayne, in 1974. She retired in 1995 from West Noble High School as an English teacher after 20 years. She was a member of Cromwell United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Lori (and spouse Dan) Reynolds, Ligonier; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter and a son.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell.
No calling is planned.
