She was born Sept. 3, 1919, in Warsaw, to Roy T. and Mary M. Herrin Adams. On Sept. 30, 1935, she married John L. Pinkerton, who passed away May 2, 1991.
She attended Warsaw Schools and lived her entire life in the Warsaw area. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Warsaw and a longtime member of Rozella Ford Golf Course. She and her late husband were avid golfers, and she was a member of the ladies golf league at Rozella. She loved her lunch bunch that she ate with for many years.
She loved being Grandma Pink to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The past four years she resided at Grace Village, where she was a favorite of many of the staff, and she always had a big smile.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Larry (and spouse Beth) Pinkerton, Plymouth; two daughters, Karen Baum, Asheboro, N.C., and Lana Griswold, Cincinnati, Ohio; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Kent (and spouse Nancy) Adams, Winona Lake. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margery Kintzel; a brother, Don Adams; and her son-in-law, George Griswold.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bryan Benjamin officiating. Burial and graveside services are at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
