A three-county attempt was made Tuesday to serve 30 drug-related warrants. Nine of the 10 warrants targeted in Kosciusko County, including one arrest made at Tippecanoe Valley High School, were successfully served.
The first suspect was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 3:37 p.m. after being taken into custody at school.
Lucas Damon Shambaugh, 17, of 1869 S. CR 675W, Warsaw, was charged with dealing in a Schedule I substance (LSD) within 1,000 feet of a school. The alleged drug sale completed by Shambaugh reportedly took place in the parking lot of a business located within 1,000 feet of Sacred Heart School.
Because the offense is a Class A felony, it carries an automatic waiver to adult court, officials said. Shambaugh was released from custody after posting a $20,000 bond.
A Class A felony is punishable by 20 to 50 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
Also arrested were:
• Lucas Edward Monnier, 22, of 312 N. Sherman St., Warsaw, charged with two counts of dealing in a substance represented to be a controlled substance, both Class D felonies punishable by six months to three years in prison and fines up to $10,000. Monnier was released after posting $2,000 bond.
• Aaron Michael Fear, 19, of 210 S. Main St. #30, Warsaw, charged with two counts of dealing less than 30 grams of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a public park, a Class C felony. The offenses are each punishable by two to eight years in prison and fines up to $10,000. Fear was released from the KCJ after posting $5,000 bond.
• Justin Allen Brinegar, 19, of 724 S. Dixie Drive, Warsaw, charged with possession of more than 30 grams of marijuana, a Class D felony. He is being held in the KCJ on $2,000 bond.

• Toby D. Jackson, 20, of 3757 N. Barbee Road, Warsaw, charged with possession of less than 3 grams of cocaine and possession of marijuana with a prior conviction, both Class D felonies. Jackson was already in custody at the KCJ and the warrant in this case was served to him there. Bond in this matter is set at $2,000.
The only warrant not served is for Jason R. Bell, 20, whose last known address was 604 Forest Lane #2, Syracuse. He faces a charge of maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony, but police were unable to locate him.
According to a press release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force combined efforts with the Multi-County Drug Task Force, which covers Marshall and Pulaski counties, and the Fulton County Drug Task Force. Local authorities did not know how many of the remaining 20 warrants were served by those agencies.
Assisting in the service of warrants in Kosciusko County were officers from the KCSD, Warsaw and North Webster police departments and Indiana State Police.
Kosciusko County Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine said the arrests were made possible by several departments working together to rid their communities of drugs.
