MENTONE – Nina Ann Jefferies, 89, of 328 Stanley St., North Webster, died at 6:15 a.m. May 6, 2011, in Mason Health & Rehab, Warsaw, where she resided for five years.
She was born April 13, 1922, in   Kosciusko County, to George and Nellie Ralston Perry. On Dec. 29, 1937, in Claypool, she married Royal O. Jefferies Sr., who died July 12, 2002.
She worked at Kimble Glass, Zale Drugs and Penguin Point Manufacturing as well as being a homemaker. She was a member of the Kosciusko County Camping Club. She loved crafts as well as traveling.  She traveled to every state. She also was a gemologist, collecting many different precious stones.
Surviving are a son, Royal O. Jefferies Jr., North Webster; a sister, Ethel Grandstaff, Peru; three grandchildren, Jill Miller, Lynn Ann Michel and Jonathan Jefferies; and a step-granddaughter, Stacey Lent. She was preceded in death by six sisters, three brothers and a grandson, Timothy Jefferies.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with Pastor Dennis L. Bollenbacher officiating. Burial will be in Mentone Cemetery.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
