Rachel Brianne Newman and Adam Richard Schaaf were married Sept. 8, 2007, at the David Stoffel residence, Syracuse, with Pastor Jim Buyer officiating. The bride is the daughter of Tony and Paula Newman, Syracuse; the groom's parents are Mary Jo Schaaf, North Webster, and Dennis Schaaf, Somerset.

Maid of honor was Katie Doyle, Louisville, Ky. Bridesmaids were Mary Kennedy, Fishers; Liz Person, Seattle, Wash.; Emily Robinson, Athens, Ohio; Shelley Solarz, West Branch, Mich.; and Sarah Beachy, Columbia City.

Best man was Stephen Schaaf, Chesterton. Groomsmen were Dusty Wiggs, North Webster; Will Rex, South Bend; Bryan Chaney, Syracuse; Paul Clerkin, Fort Wayne; and Dave Smith, Lancaster, Pa.

A reception was held at the David Stoffel residence, Syracuse.

After a wedding trip to Honolulu, Hawaii, the couple reside in Fort Wayne.
