New Reserve Officer Joins Pierceton Police Dept.

Town Marshal Tim Sammons said Potts comes with experience he gained working as a reserve officer for the Whitley County Sheriff's Office. Sammons said Potts has completed 380 hours of training, a pre-basic course through the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, the Whitley County Reserve Academy and field training with the Pierceton Police Department.
Potts began taking shifts on patrol last week.
Reserve officers are volunteers with the same full arrest powers as a regular police officer.[[In-content Ad]]
