A new building being built on North Harrison Street in Warsaw will house DCHaircrafters and Edward Jones Investments.

The 4,000-square-foot building is being built with plans for both businesses to move into the new facility in November. The building is north of JB's Furniture and west of Owens on Center Street.

DCHaircrafters got its name from owners Derry and Chris Dillon and has been in business in Warsaw since 1982. The business has been at 530 E. Market St. for 13 years.

This will be DCHaircrafter's third time for moving its business in Warsaw.

It opened Dec. 2, 1982, on Main Street and in 1985 moved to Buffalo Street.

"We needed a larger facility to accommodate our customers," Derry said. "We did not want to remodel a home or move into an exiting structure. We wanted a new building to provide a wonderful working environment for our employees."

The business will feature 12 hairstylists and plans to hire two additional stylists. A nail technician will be available, and a masseuse will start in January.

DCHaircrafters will continue to offer haircuts for men, women and children.

The parking lot will be surfaced and accommodate 30 parking spots for the two businesses.

Bill Dillon Masonry and Construction, Laporte, is the contractor for the project. Bill is Derry's brother.

Construction began at the end of July.

DCHaircrafters will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The business's phone number is 574-269-2696.

Edward Jones Investments, 1904 E. Old 30, Warsaw, also will move to the new location. The business has been at the Old 30 location since March 2004.

Jason Ellis, Edward Jones Investments financial advisor, said he is excited to move to the new location.

He said the business is moving because its lease expires at the end of October and more space and a centralized location was needed.

The new location will have two offices, one for Ellis and one for his assistant Mary Parr.

The business specializes in retirement planning, education savings plans and provides general investment advice.

The business will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The business phone number is 574-267-6330.[[In-content Ad]]
