Nesbitt 50th

James Harrison and Nancy McBride Nesbitt are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday.
They were married in Winona Lake in 1963.
Nancy was a registered nurse and worked at Murphy Medical Center, then in Troy, Ohio; Sherbrook Hospital, Quebec, where she learned French; and Kosciusko Community Hospital.
They were church planters working under the Alphine Mission and UFM International. After training in artillery, Jim was sent to the Adjutant General’s Corps at Fort Harrison. He earned nine degrees from Princeton, Grace, Dalls, Middlebury and Sorbonne. He served on the boards of the IFMA and the local Hospice and Health Care. He was the first to earn a Fulbright at Grace, as well as having two students winning titles for the nationwide German contest.  
They served as directors of UFM before coming back to Grace, where Jim serves in semi-retirement as scholar-in-residence.
As a family, they visited more than 30 countries, preaching and teaching in English or French.
Their children, with spouses and six grandchildren, are celebrating the occasin this Fourth of July weekend.[[In-content Ad]]
