Nelva Wahneta Gebhart, 101, Warsaw, passed away at 10:19 p.m. Dec. 30, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born Jan. 26, 1911, in Grant County, to Pearl J. and Maude Mitchner. She first married Charles Wayman Adams, who died June 8, 1960. She then married Floyd C. Gebhart, who died Dec. 8, 1982.
She graduated in 1929 from New Castle High School.  She was a member of North Webster United Methodist Church and the Quilt, Conservation and Home Economics clubs. She was a seamstress who worked out of her home and also for Mortons Dress Shop, New Castle.
Surviving are three children: Nancy (and spouse William “Joe”) O’Grady, Frankfort, Ill.; Jane Jarrett, Racine, Wis.; and Keith Adams (and Donna Cloud), New Castle; two stepchildren, Jack Gebhart, New Castle, and Toni Ann Hapes, Imperial, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; four  step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; eight step- great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and a niece, Sandra (and spouse Charles) Pittman. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maude Nibarger; two brothers; and a sister.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at North Webster United Methodist Church, 7822 E. Epworth Forest Road, with Pastor Dave Smitley officiating. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery, New Castle. A luncheon will follow in the church activity room.
Elkhart Cremation Services, 2100 W. Franklin St., is in charge of arrangements.
