John and Reisa Snyder, Winona Lake, announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea Nelson, to Marc Buwalda, son of Jarrie and Vicki Buwalda, Huntertown.

The bride-to-be is a social work intern with TEAMwork for Quality Living, Muncie. She is a 2003 graduate of Columbia City High School and will graduate in May from Ball State University with a degree in social work.

The groom-elect is a youth pastor with Covenant United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne. He is a 2003 graduate of Carroll High School, Fort Wayne, and will receive his degree in youth ministry in April from Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion.

The couple plan a July 7 wedding.
