SYRACUSE - Nellie Galen Spencer Cline, 90, of Syracuse, died at 9:27 a.m. Oct. 25, 2007, in her residence.

She was born Aug. 1, 1917, in Bryant, to Ernest and Lizzie Spade Spencer. She married Herman Elmer Cline, who died Nov. 4, 1992.

Growing up in Bryant, she moved to Chesterton in 1940 and then moved to Syracuse in 1971. She was a homemaker, an inspector at Jay Garment in Chesterton and then an inspector at Plastic Factory in Chesterton. She was a member of the North Webster United Methodist Church since 1972, and a member of Turkey Creek Senior Citizens in Syracuse and Church Circle in Chesterton.

Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Larry (Sondra) Moser, Brownsburg; Mrs. Don (Beverly "Kay") Harley, Syracuse; a son, Jerry Cline, Valparaiso; two sisters: Mrs. Ralph (Joan) Rager, Ohio; Mrs. John (Alice) Smith, Georgia; a brother, Robert Spencer, Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 22 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at North Webster United Methodist Church, with Pastors Scott Mann and Brad Cox officiating. Burial will be at McClintic Cemetery, Syracuse.

Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse.
