Nellans 90th Birthday

Dale Singer Nellans will celebrate his 90th birthday July 7, 2011.

He was born July 7, 1921, to Hershel and Mabel Singer Nellans.

He was raised on Nellans Poultry Farm, south of Mentone

In July 1947, he married Rosellyn Pankop, who preceded him in death.

He has two daughters, M. Sue Guiff and Marcia Nellans, both of Warsaw.

He farmed for many years after marrying and owned  his own plane and enjoyed flying out of the Mentone airport to many locations in the eastern United States. Moving to Warsaw in the late ’60s, he opened Nellow Camp and Sport Center, North Detroit Street (now Reneker’s). He worked for Copleland Construction prior to retiring.

He enjoyed playing golf and played both in Northern Indiana and in Florida. He still enjoys traveling, especially in the Traverse City area of Michigan. 

He currently resides at Timbercrest Senior Living Community, P.O. Box 501, 2201 E. St., North  Manchester, IN 46962.
