MILFORD – Neil Mort, 57, Leesburg, passed away June 21, 2015, at Parkview Regional Hospital, Fort Wayne.  
He was born Nov. 7, 1957, in Mount Clemens, Mich., to Robert W. and Clara Couturier Mort. On Dec. 8, 2000, he married Ann Edgerton, who survives.
He was an agent of Hoosier Transit. He enjoyed flying RC model airplanes, riding motorcycles, boating and playing pranks and jokes on those around him. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was originally from Peru and spent his younger years growing up there. In high school he was part of Second City where he auditioned in front of Chevy Chase and Gilda Radner. He also taught Sunday school and drove the Joy Bus in Peru.
Also surviving are his daughters, Amber (and spouse Chad) Coulter, Audra (and spouse Allen) Reed, Lacey (and Brandon Prochnow) Mort and Aimee (and spouse Jeremy) Gant;  stepchildren, Brian (and spouse Gretchen) McEndarfer and Jodi (and spouse Matthew) Kayser; seven grandchildren: Krystin, Jalen, Brooklynn, Jordan, Marcy, Nick and Alexis; his stepdad, Ron Phillips; two step-grandchildren, Aiden and Marlee; and three siblings: Sandi (and spouse Rick) Hartkopf, Nebraska; Tim (and spouse Michele) Mort, Texas; and Steve (and spouse Renee) Mort, Louisiana.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford. Burial is in Mock Cemetery, North Webster.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
