Donald and Joan Neer will mark their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 10. Donald Neer and Joan Ringler were married Aug. 10, 1957, in the Church of God, Syracuse.

He was the owner of Neer's Powerwash Company for 28 years and retired from Brock's, Milford. He now works part-time at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. She was the food service manager at New Paris Elementary School Cafeteria for 27 years until her retirement.

The couple have five children: Dana (and wife Marilee) Neer, Russiaville; Mrs. Stuart (Angela), Grand Haven, Mich; Mrs. John (Alicia) Long, Bremen; Darren Neer, Shavehead Lake, Mich; and Mrs. Brad (Amber) Osswald, Arcadia. They have 12 grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate the anniversary with an eastern Caribbean cruise that will be taken in October.
