National Bowling Week Celebrated Locally

National Bowling Week is July 30 through Aug. 6.
Mayor Ernie Wiggins will bowl the inaugural game at noon Aug. 6 at The Bowling Alley, 1535 N. Detroit St., Warsaw. There are 15 contestants being recruited to challenge Wiggins.
There is a $100 entry fee with all money being donated to The Bowling Alley Youth Scholarship Fund.
There will be a special t-shirt and award for the first 15 contestants who register for the competition.
There will be raffles, giveaways, and prize challenges awarded during the National Bowling Week festivities.
The Bowling Alley will have special extended hours July 30 through Aug. 5 with two games including shoe rental for $5 from 1 to 10 p.m.
On Aug. 6 from noon to midnight, The Bowling Alley will participate in setting the world’s record for games bowled in one day.
There will be a buy-one, get-one-free bowling with free shoe rental at the special $2.50 per-game rate.
People can visit www.gobowling.com and print out a free game certificate for an extra game valid Aug. 6. The goal is to bowl 1,000 games in the 12-hour period.[[In-content Ad]]
