Name Of Train Accident Victim Released

Police released the name and age of the female victim who allegedly attempted suicide by stepping in front of a passing train Wednesday.
Abigail M. Deuter, 20, Columbia City, was badly injured after Wednesday morning’s accident and was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center where she underwent surgery for life-threatening injuries. One arm was also amputated as a result of the impact with the train.
As of this morning, she is still in critical condition.
Police say Deuter had been staying at a Warsaw women’s homeless shelter.
