Nadine E. Stanley, 84, died at 8:10 a.m. March 7, 2011, in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
She was born Feb. 27, 1927, in Warsaw, to Edwin and Flo Opal Ellis Shirey. On Dec. 3, 1943, in Napoleon, Ohio, she married the Rev. Aaron Stanley, who preceded her in death.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she built and ran Stanley's B/K Root Beer Stand, Silver Lake, for 16 years and also worked at Da-Lite Screen, Warsaw. She was a member of Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church, Silver Lake.
Surviving are a son, Dan (and spouse Marcia) Stanley, Silver Lake; two daughters, Jean (and spouse Michal) Weller and Marsha (and spouse John) Sands, all of Silver Lake; seven grandchildren: Ty (and spouse Rosalind) Marshall, Tracy (and spouse Amy) Marshall and Ryan (and spouse Devan) Sands, all of Warsaw; Kresta (and spouse Kevin) Burkholder, Burket; Kyla (and spouse Brad) Cook, Noblesville; and Scott (and spouse Jenn) Sands and Aaron Sands, all of Silver Lake; nine great-grandchildren: Kelsey, Hannah, Addison, Channing, Graycee, Brystal, Shana, Jennifer and BJ; three great-great-grandchildren: Maelyn, Daisy and Noah; and three sisters: Glady Reese, Fort Wayne; Betty (and spouse Ralph) Evans, Warsaw; and Delores Harman, Mentone. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Woodrow, Guido, Ike and Virgil Shirey.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor William Whitaker of Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church, Silver Lake. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
