HAGERSTOWN - Myrtle L. York, 83, died April 26, 2009, in Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse.

She was born Oct. 26, 1925, in Henry County, to Cornelius and Inez Hall Mayberry.

She lived most of her live in Wayne and Henry counties. She retired from Dana Corp. in 1985. She loved music, reading, crocheting and most of all, her family.

Surviving are two daughters, Sherri (and spouse Bob) Weaver, Hagerstown, and Deanna (and spouse Rod) Turner, Warsaw; four grandchildren: Melissa Weaver and Kristina Dale, both of Hagerstown, and Emmanuel Turner and Jessica (and spouse Eleazar) Villa, all of Warsaw; two great-grandsons, Jacob Dale, Hagerstown, and Elijah Villa, Warsaw; and a brother, Gerald Mayberry. She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Lee A. York; a sister, Gladys Neal; two brothers, David and Bob Mayberry; and a grandson, Kevin Turner.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown. Burial will be in Brick Cemetery.

Calling is after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Culberson Funeral Home.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of local arrangements.
