The bride-to-be is a registered nurse at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She graduated from Manchester High School in 2002, and earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Saint Francis in 2008.

The groom-elect works at Symmetry Medical, Claypool. He graduated from Manchester High School in 2000, and studied ciminal justice at Vincennes.
