Vicki Neff, Milford, announces the engagement of her daughter, Darcy Murphy, Syracuse, to Patrick Tranter, Syracuse. He is the son of Jim and Karen Tranter, Syracuse. She is also the daughter of the late John Murphy.

The bride-to-be works at Biker World as a partner and in sales. She graduated from Wawasee High School, Syracuse, and attended Ivy Tech to become a medical assistant.

The groom-elect is vice president and owner of Tranter Graphics. He graduated from Wawasee High School, Syracuse, and studied printing technology at Vincennes University.

The couple plan an Aug. 21, 2010, wedding.
