Richard and Pamela Mullin, Vandalia, Mich., announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Katherine Mullin, Vandalia, Mich., to Matthew Joseph Scheuer, West Lafayette. He is the son of Paul and Susan Scheuer, Warsaw.

The bride-to-be teaches kindergarten at Kennedy Academy, South Bend. She is a 2003 graduate of Mishawaka Marian High School, and graduated from Saint Mary's College, South Bend, in 2007 with a major in elementary education and a minor in early childhood development.

The groom-elect currently is employed at Purdue University as a graduate assistant and is continuing his education at Purdue University for a Ph.D. in forensic entomology. The groom is a 2003 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. He graduated from Saint Joseph's College in 2007 with a major in biology and chemistry.
