ROCHESTER – Msg. Ret. Donald J Groleau, 75, of Rochester, died July 13, 2012, in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, surrounded by his family.

He was born Aug. 5, 1936, to Edward and Jereta Clement Groleau. His wife, Edith “Edie”, survives.

He was a 1954 graduate of Nahma High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and after more than 34 years, he retired earning the rank of master sergeant. He then worked at Oxford Automotive, Gaerte Engines and as a sales associate at Rochester Ford for nearly eight years.

Also surviving are seven daughters: Debbie Vance (and spouse Heshy) Bock and Mitzi (and spouse Andy) Anderson, all of Rochester; Tammy (and spouse Joe) Newlin, Silver Lake; Suzie (and spouse Bret) Simonson,   Nixa, Mo,; Donna Groleau (and companion Tom Waite) Mesa, Ariz.; Karen (and spouse Donald) Huffman, Avon; and Valerie Tolley, Noblesville; two sons, Gary (and spouse Linda) Flook, Peru, and Robbie (and spouse Kathy) Flook, Rochester; four brothers: his twin, Ronald “Ron” (and spouse Carolyn) Groleau, Port Joe Beach, Fla.; Warren (and spouse Christine) Groleau and Joel (and spouse Kathy) Groleau, all of Rapid River, Mich.;  and Pat (and spouse Dani) Groleau, Nahma, Mich.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester. Burial will be in Rochester's IOOF Cemetery.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
