Two men arrested for their alleged involvement in an Etna Green Robbery July 23 now face more charges for the crime.

Douglas B. Jordan, 22, of 259 N. CR 300E, Warsaw, appeared in Kosciusko Superior Court I Thursday, where prosecutors added one count of aiding robbery to his original charge of assisting a criminal. His bond was set at $20,000.

During the initial hearing, Jordan requested a fast and speedy trial and asked for representation from a public defender.

The judge granted his speedy trial request and set a trial date of Sept. 15. The jury trial is scheduled for two days.

Jordan is accused of driving the getaway vehicle for Brady Lee Shepherd, 19, of 3373 S. Ind. 19, Mentone, who was arrested for allegedly robbing the Etna Green Branch of PNC Bank July 23.

Shepherd allegedly entered the Etna Green bank and demanded money before leaving and getting into a stolen 2008 dark maroon Chevrolet Silverado.

Shepherd appeared in Superior Court I Tuesday for an initial hearing on a felony charge of robbery, a Class C felony. During the hearing, a request to add a habitual felony offender enhancement to Shepherd's charges was made by the county prosecutor.

Shepherd pleaded guilty to felony charges of fraud on a financial institution, auto theft and escape in Kosciusko County in 2006. A fourth charge of theft was dismissed in that case.

In 2007, he was charged with failure to return to lawful detention, a Class D felony, also in Kosciusko County.

He also has felony charges of fraud and theft from 2008 pending in Kosciusko County, along with the felony robbery charge.

In Fulton County, Shepherd has charges pending for auto theft from 2008, burglary from 2009 and battery resulting in bodily injury from 2010.

Jordan and Shepherd currently are being held in the Kosciusko County Jail.
