Monna Mae Goon, 73, of 1256 N. CR 525W, Warsaw, died at 1:05 p.m. May 8, 2007, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born April 11, 1934, in Huntington, to Hazen and Emmalu Finkenbiner Shideler. On Sept. 17, 1992, in Winona Lake, she married Don E. Goon, who survives.
A lifetime Warsaw resident, she was a 1952 Warsaw High School graduate, a bookkeeper for Family Auto Sales and a member of Winona Lake Free Methodist Church. Her parents owned the Double Dip in downtown Warsaw, where she also worked. She also enjoyed bowling and tennis and was an avid Warsaw Tiger Fan.
Also surviving are two sons, Bruce (and wife Cindy) Coppes and David (and wife Callie) Coppes, both of Warsaw; four grandchildren, Emma, Jeremy, Erin and Krista Plank; a sister, Peggy Keeton, Warsaw; a brother, Max Shideler, Muncie; five stepchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Services were at 11 a.m. today at Winona Lake Free Methodist Church with Dr. Donald Riggs officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
