SUMMITVILLE – Miriam Maxine Bair Mason, 98, passed away Jan. 5, 2016, in Huntington.
He was born May 16, 1917, in Summitville, to Cletis and Olive Brake Bair. On Aug. 11, 1938, she married Richard Dick Dale Mason, her beloved husband who preceded her in death Dec. 24, 2000.
In their early marriage, they lived in Summitville, Frankton and Lawrence. After retirement in 1979, they moved to North Webster.
She was a member of the Lawrence Chapter of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years.
They joined the North Webster Church of God. She was a quilter, an artist and she loved to crochet and bake.
After Dick died, she moved to Heritage of Huntington to be close to family.
Surviving are her children: Rebecca (and spouse Tom) Joan Branan, Frisco, Texas; James (and spouse Donna) Richard Mason, New Palestine; and Stephen (and spouse Jen) Ross Mason, Huntington, and Fairview, Texas; grandchildren: Scott (and spouse Tricia) Branan, Dallas, Texas; Cindy (and spouse Marty) Himes, Connersville; Christy (and spouse Aaron) Linn, Indianapolis; and Bill (and spouse Lisa) Mason, Dallas, Texas; five great-grandchildren: Richard and Brett Branan, Dallas, Texas; Addison Baker, Indianapolis; Jack Reed, Connersville; and Alexandra Mason, Dallas, Texas; a sister, Mary Jane Fallis, Gaston; and several beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Christopher R. Mason, Huntington; a brother, Tom Bair, Summitville; and a sister, Phyllis Collins, Anderson.
Services honoring her life and legacy will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Owens-Noffze Funeral Home, Summitville, with Pastor Bill Rapp officiating. Burial will follow in Vinson Memorial Cemetery, Summitville.
Calling is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
