Milton "Zeke" Irwin, 82, of Atwood, died Sept. 10, 2007, while gardening at home.

He was born July 22, 1925, in Atwood, to Justin Day and Cathern Wolf Irwin. In 1947, he married Wilma Jean Irwin, who died in 1964.

He was a retired farmer and a World War II Marines veteran. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood; Atwood Lions Club and Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving are four daughters: Ona Rush, Warsaw; Mrs. Art (Mindy) Carroll, Lake City, Fla.; and Mrs. John (Rita) Mohr, South Whitley; and Mrs. Jerry (Susie) Monroe, Leesburg; seven grandchildren: Mrs. Mike (Tracy) Wilson, Scott (and wife Shelley) Boggs, Mrs. Rodney (Nikki) Gunter, Mrs. John (Leah) Towner, Josh (and wife Holly) Mohr, Ben (and wife Julie) Mohr and Mrs. Troy (Christine) Kistler; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Kneeland, Atwood. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Irwin.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood, with the Rev. Jerry Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery, Atwood, with a military graveside service by members of the U.S. Marines.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
