Milo Reichard

F. Milo Reichard TIPPECANOE – F. Milo Reichard, 87, of Tippecanoe, went to be with the Lord at 3:45 a.m. May 10, 2012, at the St. Joseph Hospital, Plymouth. He was born May 24, 1924, in Portland, Ind., to Noah Wilson and Mahala Elizabeth Brumm Reichard. From 1945 to 1978, he was married to Catherine Warren, who survives. He graduated from Tippecanoe High School and was president of his senior class. He was a hard-working farmer all his life while working at various jobs as well. He retired from R.R. Donnelley and Sons in 1989 and was part of the 50-50 Club. He was a precinct committeeman and member of the Tippecanoe Township Advisory Board. As an active member of the Tippecanoe Community Church, he was involved for 36 years with the Awana Youth Ministries, where he was well known as the “Candy Man.” He was also a member of Gideons International in the Plymouth camp and he worked both the Starke and Marshall County Fair booths passing out Bibles. He also traveled to various schools and universities handing out the Word of God. Milo loved people and wanted them to know God loved them, too. He enjoyed hunting and processing deer and was an avid gardener who loved to share with his family. He was also a very staunch Purdue fan. Also surviving are six children: Russell (and spouse Donna), Bourbon; Darlene (and spouse Roy Anderson), Mentone; Carol (and spouse Dennis Feldman), Brownsburg; Dave (and spouse Robin), Warsaw; Bernard (and spouse Betty), and Roger (and spouse Gloria), all of Tippecanoe; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Tippecanoe Community Church, 2940 18B Road, Tippecanoe. Burial will be in Tippecanoe Cemetery. Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Deaton Clemens Funeral Home is caring for the arrangements. ***** Memorials may be made to the Gideons International.
