Milford Toddler Hospitalized By Dog Bite

Officers were advised by the mother, Amanda King, that the 21-month-old boy had been petting the dog and inadvertently stepped on the 8-year-old Great Dane’s paw, causing the dog to immediately turn around and bite him.
Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to King’s 911 call along with paramedics from Multi-Township EMS at 8:43 p.m. Thursday.
Emergency personnel arrived at the residence at 1162 N. CR 200W, Milford, and paramedics immediately requested Lutheran Air due to a large laceration to the child’s forehead and facial area.
Milford Fire Department responded to assist in the landing zone as the boy was transported to Lutheran Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, in serious condition.
Also assisting at the scene was the Indiana State Police.
