A pursuit early Monday morning led to the arrest of a Milford man who is allegedly connected to multiple burglaries, including several in Kosciusko County.

Robert Allen Henson, 54, of 304 N. Shafer St., Milford, was arrested around 3:48 a.m. Monday after leading Warsaw Police Department Patrolman Ryan Moore on a short chase.

Moore reportedly saw Henson driving a vehicle that matched the description of one stolen from Syracuse and tried to stop him. Henson reportedly led Moore on a short pursuit that ended near the Speedway gas station on Winona Avenue, Warsaw.

At that time, Henson was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail for auto theft and resisting/fleeing law enforcement.

While being interviewed by police, Henson reportedly admitted to stealing the vehicle he was driving from Syracuse sometime over the weekend.

As the interview continued, Henson allegedly admitted that he was involved in burglaries in Leesburg. The information gained from Henson's interviews helped detectives from Kosciusko, Noble and Elkhart counties, Warsaw Police Department and the Indiana State Police solve at least 33 burglaries.

Henson allegedly admitted to being involved in burglaries in Pierceton, Milford, North Webster and New Paris as well as others in Whitley, Noble and Elkhart counties.

After the interview, detectives got search warrants and found many stolen items at a residence at 115 S. Pine St., Warsaw. Henson also has been connected to the theft of many items recovered from a Kimmel barn on April 12.

Henson currently is being held on $100,000 bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.

Detectives from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department expect to make more arrests in connection with the burglaries and thefts related to this case.

Agencies involved in the investigation include Indiana State Police from the Fort Wayne District, Warsaw Police Department and Kosciusko, Noble, Elkhart, and Whitley counties.[[In-content Ad]]
