MILFORD - Four months of investigation culminated Wednesday with the arrest of a Milford man charged with dealing cocaine.

Jeremy Dewayne Howard, 20, of 318 E. Syracuse St., Milford, is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on $20,000 bond. The charge against him is a Class A felony punishable by up to 50 years in prison and fines up to $10,000.

According to an undercover police officer with the Kosciusko County Special Operations Team, Howard is considered one of the major cocaine dealers in the Milford area. Kosciusko County Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine said Howard's arrest is the first of a stepped-up effort to rid the northern part of Kosciusko County of drugs.

Police said several drug purchases were made from Howard since January and the transactions took place at Howard's residence. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were reportedly confiscated from Howard's home Wednesday afternoon when the warrant for his arrest was served.

The investigation was a cooperative effort between the SPOT and the Goshen Drug Task Force. Other arrests are expected as a result of this case. [[In-content Ad]]
