Middle School Students Busted For Booze, Dope

At 9:59 a.m. Thursday, Warsaw Police Department responded to a call of students in possession of drugs.
The principal of the school, JoElla Smyth, called police.
Smyth said, "What I'm doing today is preparing a letter to parents which, in part, states that we don't want drugs or alcohol in our school and we're taking the necessary steps to make our school safe and drug free."
Two students were found to have a substance believed to be marijuana and were charged with possession of marijuana.
One student was charged with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
The student had 5.3 grams of a white powder substance. The substance was later determined to be Tylenol.
At 12:33 p.m. Thursday, WPD once again was called to Edgewood where they picked up 10 students and brought them to the police department be tested for consumption of alcohol.
The students were brought in after other students told school officials that there was alcohol at the school.
All 10 students tested negative for having alcohol in their system.
The student who reportedly brought the alcohol to school is being charged as a juvenile for illegal possession of alcohol.[[In-content Ad]]
