He was born Feb. 19, 1949, in Argos, to Howard and Mary Donna Poor Kreighbaum.
He served in the U.S. Army, spending part of his tour, in Vietnam. He was an officer on the Plymouth Police Dept. from 1975 until retirement in 1994.
Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer (and spouse Alan) Grossnickle, Warsaw, and Kelsey Kreighbaum, New Albany; a brother, Roger (and spouse Jane) Kreighbaum, Indianapolis; two grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Legaspi, Bartonville, Ill.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth, with the Rev. Sam Carns officiating. Burial will be in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Calling is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
